How Do I Travel the World • Part 1 (Istanbul, 5649 km)

(Istanbul, 26.08.2018 - 30.08.2018) US Homeland Security states on its homepage: "Traveling abroad doesn't have to be confusing if you know the right things before you go." Let me put it from my perspective by taking the illustrated example of my stage in Istanbul.

Best time to arrive in town: not later than early afternoon • 12:33 PM • On time!

Best place to stay: central and easily accessible • Istanbul Life Hotel • Excellent choice!

Best approach saving nerves: changing the means of transportation • motorcycle parked • Done!

Best means of transportation: by foot and public transportation • Istanbul Ferryboats by istanbulcart • Spectacular!

Best method to comprehend a megacity: visiting related waypoints throughout the city • 12 Istanbul synagogues • Don't miss Part 2!

Best way to stay young: following the young people in their trendy neighborhoods • Fener & Balat • Hip!

Best strategy to remain relaxed: learning from the cats • one out of trillions of Istanbul cats • Smooth!

Part 2 of the Posting "How Do I Travel the World" will take us to 12 Istanbul synagogues in very different neighborhoods, but all of them have something particular in common. Any guess?
