(Villingen-Schwenningen, 01.06.2025-02.06.2025) This is Juan, he comes from Spain, is made of bronze, weighs 450 kg and stands on the roof terrace of the large penthouse apartment of my friends Patricia and Klaus in Villingen, where I was a guest. It was a personal hotspot, after all, we hadn't seen each other for 42 years (!) and so there was a lot to talk about. The bourgeois town of Villingen in Baden and the former “red” workers' town of Schwenningen in Württemberg became the twin town of Villingen-Schwenningen through a forced municipal marriage. There is plenty of art here, not only on the roof but also on the ground, such as the Münsterbrunnen fountain and the bronze portals of Villingen Minster in the historic town center.
