(Budapest, 28.07.2012 - 29.07.2012) Voyager, enjoy Budapest, but avoid the Omnibusz Hotel, unless you are prepared for a scary hotel experience. Have you ever stayed at a hotel, where you had to pay for the utilization of the AC an extra fee (€ 4.00 = $ 5.40)? Voilà!
Omnibusz Hotel: "The hotel has 17 non-smoking and 6 smoking rooms, and a new Finn-relax sauna for (8-10 persons), where we pamper our guests both if you are on a business trip or you are here just for holiday. All rooms are equipped with LCD tv, minibar, air conditioning, shower, bathroom with hairdryer, free access for our guests comfort and relaxation. In the common areas is a computer - with free Internet access. At the drink bar with a coffee or a drink our guests can have a rest after the city tour, or surf on the Internet. [...] Choose from nicely furnished en-suite rooms, start your day with the complimentary buffet breakfast and set out to explore the impressive Hungarian capital. There is a bar and a nightclub, and on-site parking is available for a surcharge. Pets are allowed for an extra charge."
Leaving aside the fact, that TV and WLAN were NOT WORKING, let's illustrate now this fancy and pictoresque hotel description with the photos I took on site and decide yourself on your next Budapest accomodation!
There is really nothing positive to say about Omnibusz Hotel in Budapest? Yes, of course! There is a McDonald's Restaurant just across the - heavily trafficked and noisy - road.
